Privacy at a glance
CTKRugby operates ctkrugby.com, an independent rugby information website. You can browse without an account or login. We do not use advertising trackers or visitor analytics in the website application, and we do not ask visitors to register or join a mailing list. Basic technical information is still processed to deliver and protect the website.
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@ctkrugby.com.
Information used when you visit
- Website delivery and security: our hosting and network providers receive information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser details and request time. This supports delivery, fault diagnosis and abuse prevention.
- Appearance preference: if you choose light or dark mode, the site stores that choice in your browser under
ctk-theme. The application does not send this preference to a visitor profile. - Messages you send us: emailing us shares your address, message and any information you include. We use these to respond, investigate the issue and maintain relevant correspondence. Please do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information.
The site does not request your device location, camera or microphone. Forecasts use the rugby venue’s location, not your location.
Cookies and browser storage
Cloudflare provides network security and may set security cookies. We observed __cf_bm, which helps distinguish automated traffic and normally expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Challenge cookies may also be used when security checks are needed. See Cloudflare’s cookie explanation.
The light/dark preference remains until you change it or clear this website’s browser storage. Browser settings let you remove or block cookies and stored preferences; blocking security cookies may affect access. There are no optional advertising or analytics cookies installed by the website application.
Services that receive technical information
- Hosting: the site is delivered using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Technical requests may be handled in countries outside your own.
- Fonts: Google Fonts supplies the site’s typefaces. Your browser connects to Google’s font servers, which receive your IP address and request information. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Weather: opening a supported fixture requests a venue forecast directly from Open-Meteo. That service receives your IP address and the venue coordinates in the request. Its privacy notice describes technical logs and a 90-day deletion period.
- Rugby feeds: our server requests public fixtures and lineups from upstream services. The application does not forward your browser cookies or IP address to these feeds.
- External links: following a link to YouTube or another website takes you to a service governed by its own privacy policy.
We use information for the purposes described here, not to build advertising profiles or sell visitor information. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address abuse or legal claims. The privacy practices of infrastructure providers also apply to their processing.
How long information is kept
The website application does not maintain registered-user records or visitor profiles. Browser preferences remain on your device as described above. Infrastructure logs and security records follow the providers’ retention settings and policies; their periods vary. Correspondence is retained as needed to resolve your request and for relevant legal or record-keeping needs. Contact us for information about a particular record or to request deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can clear browser storage, avoid opening weather details and choose whether to follow external links or email us. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access or correct personal information, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, or complain to a privacy regulator. Email hello@ctkrugby.com with your request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records, and will respond within the applicable legal timeframe.
Public rugby information may include player names, team selections and match records from public sources. If information about you is incorrect or raises a privacy concern, contact us with the page address and details.
Children and changes
The site does not offer child accounts or ask children to submit personal details. If a child has sent personal information that should be removed, a parent or guardian can contact us.
We will update this page if our practices change. Introducing accounts, advertising, analytics or other new collection would require a fresh privacy review and any notices or choices required by applicable law.
